During his sophomore year at the University of Georgia, Ian Lovejoy began playing with Cliff Corr, who was in his junior year there. The two graduated from the same highschool, Deerfield Windsory School out of Albany, Georgia; however, the two had not spent any time together while in highschool. They began writing music and recording several of their songs with use of some elementary equipment in Ian's apartment. Ian lived in an apartment in Athens with his younger brother, Jake, a freshman at the time. Whenever Ian and Cliff were back in their hometown, they would play at The Rocket, a local restaurant, where their preformance always drew a big crowd. The owner of The Rocket discussed with Ian and Cliff the he was planning on building a deck where they could play with a full band. Ian told Jake about the idea and Jake was immediately interested in playing the drums with them. When the three returned home for the summer, they began practice immediately. Through a mutual friend, they were introduced to Landon Burnette, who after only two practices was named the band's bassist. They practiced all summer and even cut an album near the end of the summer entitled "My Own Backyard." Thus, the band BlueLine was formed and will be heading back to the studio in the near future to record a follow up to their first album.
